Williamstown Ballet Theater Fall to Spring Programs 2024/2025
We offer two types of ballet education. Recreational; for young beginners and those who wish to enjoy ballet as a hobby and Company; for those who have an interest in taking their ballet education to a pre/professional level.
Placement evaluations are a requirement for any new student interested in Company classes. Dancers will need to sign up for a placement evaluation upon registration and will be placed according to experience and aptitude.
Recreational students may take any pink**, blue** or lavender** class. If a recreational student wishes to join a company class, they must be evaluated by the instructor prior to registration.
All students are required to purchase a uniform available upon registration. This uniform is included in your registration fee. Uniform includes leotard, tights and ballet shoes. Additional uniform items may be purchased separately.
Recreational Classes…
Registration/uniform fee: $63.00
Pink/Creative Movement** $67.00 per month
Ages 3-5. No previous training. Emphasis is on very basic understanding of ballet technique, creative dance games to enhance gross motor development, self and spacial awareness.
Ballet Blue** $75.00 per month
Ages 5+. No previous training. Basic ballet steps and terms are introduced while developing concentration. The last portion of class is spent playing dance related games aimed at developing strength, endurance, balance and team work.
Beginner Ballet Lavender** $75.00 per month Ages 7+ . No previous training. Basic ballet steps and terms are introduced while developing concentration. This class is an extension of our Ballet Blue program. There is no dance play time scheduled at the end of this class.
Monday Ballet Technique** $98.00 per month Ages 15 to Adult
Advanced level technique class for recreational students, professional dancers.
Open Level PBT** $75.00 per month
Ages 7 -Teen. Progressing Ballet Technique is an innovative program developed by Marie Walton-Mahon for students to understand the depth of training muscle memory in achieving their personal best in classical ballet. pbt.dance
Company members can add on for an additional $44.00.
Company Classes...
Registration/uniform fee: $63.00
Placement is determined by teacher/director discretion and/or level placement evaluations.
All company dancers are required to take a minimum of one modern dance class a week in addition to their ballet classes. Our modern program gives dancers a broader range of expression and a stronger, more diverse foundation.
Ballet Beginner Lavender Company Level 1 $106.00 per month 2 hours per week
Ages 7+. Basic ballet technique with 1-2 years prior training. Lavender Company 1 students are required to attend a minimum of 2 hours per week including one beginner lavender level ballet class as well as lavender modern dance.
Ballet Fuchsia Company Level 2 $157.00 per month 3.5 hours per week
Ages 8+. Basic ballet technique with 2-3 years prior training. Fuchsia students are required to attend a minimum of 3 hours per week including two advanced Fuchsia level ballet classes as well as Fuchsia modern dance.
Ballet Navy Company Level 3 $202.00 per month 5 hours per week Ages 8+. Beginner-intermediate with 3-4 years prior training. Navy Company 3 must attend a minimum of 5 hours per week including both ballet classes of their level in addition to Navy Modern and Tuesday open level P.B.T .
Ballet Navy Company Level 4 $ 238.00 per month 6.5 hours per week
Ages 9+. Beginner-intermediate with 3-4 years prior training. Navy Company 4 must attend a minimum of 6.5 hours per week including both ballet classes of their level in addition to Navy Modern, Tuesday open level PBT and Monday Ballet Technique Teal.
Ballet Teal Company Level 5 $270.00 per month 7.75 hours per week
Ages 10+ . Intermediate. 4-5 years prior training. To participate in prepointe you must pass an evaluation. Emphasis on pointe preparation. Teal Company 5 must attend a minimum of 7.75 hours per week including both ballet classes of their level in addition to Monday Technique Teal class, P.B.T., Teal Modern dance and both prepointe classes.
Ballet Black Company Level 6 $270.00 per month 7.75 hours per week
Ages 11+ . Intermediate - advanced with 5-6 years prior training. To participate in pointe you must pass an evaluation. Emphasis on pointe technique. Black Company 7 must attend a minimum of 7.75 hours per week including both ballet classes of their level in addition to Monday Technique class, P.B.T and Teal/Black Modern dance.
APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM $39.00 per month
This program is only available to our dedicated Navy 4 trough Black youth company members . Members who attend apprenticeship will be learning advanced choreography, business of the arts, teaching assistant basics and will be considered for special opportunities. Regular attendance and a professional attitude will be expected of students who chose to participate.
INTRIGUE $150.00 one time fee for five 2 hour workshops
This new workshop style program will take effect after Christmas break and will meet on the first Saturday of each month. Two hour workshops include guest instructors as well as our own talented instructors. Each workshop will have a different theme and be carefully designed to enrich the dancer’s education. This program is open to Navy level and above.
PRIVATE LESSONS WILL BE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. $65.00 per one hour lesson with one of our teachers. Purchase a “3 private lessons”package for $180.00 (a discounted rate of $60.00 per lesson) or a “5 private lessons” package for $250.00 (a discounted rate of $50.00 per lesson). DROP IN CLASSES $23.00 for an hour class, $32.00 for an hour and a half class.
